Writer. Reader. Believer.
I live in West Monroe, La., with my husband, Grant, who I love so much and will tell anyone who will listen how much I love being married to him. I manage all public relations and marketing efforts for the Ouachita Parish Public Library, a 10 branch system serving more than 150,000 people. Working in a library, I am surrounded by books all day every day. Contrary to popular belief, people who work in libraries do not get paid to read books all day. I read on my lunch breaks, listen to audiobooks on my commute and wind down with a good novel before bed. I love a good story and I try to learn something new every day. Born and raised in East Baton Rouge Parish, I fell in love with Louisiana State University at a young age. I received both my undergraduate and graduate degrees from the Manship School of Mass Communication. LSU is also where I met Grant and many of my best friends. I am a follower of Jesus Christ and openly share my faith. It is my prayer to become more like Him every day. |
